A little more about me...

I have a keen interest in travelling the world and have been fortunate enough to see many sites and experience a myriad of different cultures. I’m a firm believer in expanding my knowledge and by experiencing both new cultures and different healthcare systems, I feel that this has given me new skills that can be vital to both my professional and personal development.

Medicine can become all encompassing and burnout seems to be increasingly fashionable in modern times. By having interests outside of traditional healthcare in the UK enables me to become grounded and stay fresh in mind and body.

Paragliding

Since I can remember, I have always been intrigued by the majesty of flight and few things are more exhilarating than to step off a hill and let the wind take you across the sky. Having achieved a club pilot license under the British Handglider and paraglider association, it is only the British weather that limits this great sport

Scuba Diving

Diving is a great pleasure of mine and I have been fortunate to dive in a number of places from the Philippines to Fiji and Madagascar. With over 80 dives and a PADI advanced diver certificate, I hope to continue this sport for many years to come

Expedition Medicine

Expedition medicine encompasses my passion for visiting, trekking and diving through remote areas in the world whilst being able to be part of the team looking after a group of like minded adventurers. Having undertaken a local course in expedition medicine, I have had the fortune to use my skills for a period of approximately 10 months in remote areas such as Madagascar, Belize and Fiji with the experience gained there being invaluable
